Reminds me of that comic strip in the Sunday papers I used to read as a teenager, Hipshot Percussion. They had a frame in teh comic one day that looked pretty much like that scene above. Evrytime I see an article about elk of a picture of one, I think of that. Thanks for sharing.

Cool The "Good Old Days"

Man, that brings back the old days!

That's my buddy Daryl up there with his '95 Winchester in '03, you know, before they came out with the 30'06 it was the '03. He always seemed to see the game first and leave me holding the horses. But we always shared the game, so that's OK.

BTW, this was up in the East Fork of the South Fork of the Salmon River area of Idaho. Our camp was on Phoebe Creek, just S of the Krassel Forest Service Station, you can look it up.

We'd cross the river and head up into the mountains. Man, those were great days and great hunts!!
